It has been recently reported by the news portal DailyRecord.co.uk that Marco van Basten is set to become the new manager of Scottish national team.

DailyRecord.co.uk is quoting Van Basten's agent Perry Overeem who confirmed that the former Holland and Ajax coach was interested in taking the job. "Marco would be flattered by any official approach from the SFA. He is currently unsure what to do next but would not exclude himself from anything. SFA made contact we would be more than happy to listen," confirmed Overeem.

In late September Van Basten was linked with his former club, AC Milan. However, after a few days 'Il cigno Rossonero' confirmed he would not take on any new job until the new year.
