In the second leg of the round of 16 of the UEFA Cup Ajax drew with Olympique 2:2 at the Amsterdam Arena. After 90 minutes of the game Ajax was leading 2:1 - the previous match ended in exactly the same score which meant that an extra time was needed. Eventually Mears' extra-time header earned Marseilles the precious victory.
